This is an intensive study of the archaeology of South America covering its entire prehistory from 1st peopling at perhaps 14,000 years ago, to the colonial period. The course focuses not only on the well known Andean cultures, but also on the archaeology of the entire continent. Prerequisite: ANTH 1300
