(Prereq: Admission to the Professional Program or permission from the Dean) This course will explore communication and language development in students throughout the lifespan. This includes methods to teach writing (K-12) to students with disabilities. Evidence-based practices will be explored and implemented. Topics include the process approach to writing, spelling, and handwriting throughout K-12 grades. Analyzing data to make instructional-based decisions will also be practiced.
