Students will learn about the cultures, instruments, and performance practices from West Africa, Cuba, the Middle East, Brazil (pandeiros, surdos), and the Caribbean. Students will learn how to incorporate these instruments and drumming styles into their music therapy practice and develop rhythmic dictation and improvisation skills.
