Examines the ways domestic monetary policies affect global financial markets and international monetary arrangements. Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: (1) Identify, define, and analyze financial markets and how they work (2) Discuss current events from economic perspective (3) Interpret and communicate economic data to peers (4) Examine the tools of monetary policy and related theories (5) Analyze basic macro economic indicators and their meaning
