Description:
Students will be introduced to the theories, methods, and performance practices of Applied Theatre and will explore theatre techniques used outside of traditional theatre professions, focusing especially on theatre's use in education, psychology, and sociology. Fieldwork for this course will include performances of plays, developed and rehearsed in class, in local schools. This interdisciplinary course will be useful for students preparing for a variety of professions. Offered in the spring semester of each year. May be used to fulfill the Humanities: Fine and Performing Arts component of the General Education Requirements. Theatre
