Description:
This course provides a capstone experience for students pursuing a human factors certificate. Students conduct an independent research project under the supervision of a faculty member. The project allows them to demonstrate their ability to conduct sound and important Human Factors research as a measure of their knowledge of the field. Students produce a written report of the project using the formal guidelines of either the American Psychological Association for a journal article or the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society for a conference proceedings. Prerequisites: 'C' or better in ((PSY 1010 OR PSY 1011 OR AP Psychology of 3+ OR IB Psychology of 5+ OR PSY CLEP score of 50+) AND (PSY 3000 AND PSY 3010 AND 1+ credits from (PYS 4800 OR 4802 OR 4803 OR 4804 OR 4805 OR 4806))) OR Instructor Consent
