Course Description: Students examine neurogenic and other communication disorders in adults, focusing on etiology and characteristics of disorders including stroke, traumatic brain injury, degenerative disorders, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, aphasia, voice, and dysphagia. Assessment and treatment principles for acquired disorders are introduced. Prerequisites/Restrictions: COMD 3100 with a minimum grade of C Admission to the Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education major
