This course will help students understand and evaluate current issues in the field of family studies and human development. Students will gain knowledge of and insight into a broad array of issues. Students will begin to develop their own particular interests as preparation for graduate school or a career in the field. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Summarize and evaluate research journal articles. 2. Assess the practical application of published research. 3. Synthesize literature to understand the current state of the field in an area. 4.
