This is one of the theory companion courses to NRSG 6236 Nurse Practitioner Clinical I. The course is designed to provide advanced theoretical knowledge and emphasis on adult healthcare for the nurse practitioner student. The course prepares students to manage prevalent healthcare concerns encountered across the lifespan of male and female adults. Nurse practitioner students include significant others, family, and available community resources for patient health promotion and illness management, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, healthcare plans, follow-up, and evaluation of adults in a variety of settings.
