This laboratory skill course provides opportunities for nurse practitioner (NP) students to learn and practice a variety of essential ambulatory care skills for patients across the lifespan.There is a focus on women's health and pediatric healthcare conditions. Students attend skills lab weekly for instruction from interprofessional peers and nurse practitioner faculty. NP studentsacquire knowledge of skill performance, diagnostic and objective information for conditions requiring procedures, management strategies, patient education, and ICD-10 & CPT billing andcoding instruction for common health care issues.
