Survey of Information Science is a course that serves as an introduction to the synergy between business concepts, information technology and data management. Relational and distributed database systems are used to learn how to use data to support corporate operations. Students are introduced to MIS concepts by studying industry standard systems in a variety of professional fields and regulatory environments.
