This course explores global learning through a multifaceted lens incorporating a variety of social, cultural, historical, economic, ethical and political perspectives. The implications of these perspectives as well as the interconnectivity of all humanity are addressed. Selected local and global challenges are discussed. The requisite knowledge, attitudes and skills for living in a global, humane world are emphasized. This course focuses on Earth, which is one of the five critical concerns of the Sisters of Mercy: Earth, nonviolence, women, racism, and immigration. This course meets the University?s definition of writing intensive. ENG101 is a pre-requisite.
