This course draws on the work of Viktor Frankl and uses a philosophical lens to explore human trafficking in its assault on human dignity, human rights and human flourishing. We will do this through the historical, social, political and economic contexts of human trafficking. This course focuses on Women, which is one of the five concerns of the Sisters of Mercy: Women, earth, nonviolence, racism and immigration. This course meets the University's definition of writing intensive: ENG 101 is a pre-requisite.
