This course is the first in a series of three field experiences that requires 100 hours of direct counseling, individual and group supervision. This field experience provides students with the opportunity to practice advanced counseling methods and techniques in individual and group counseling settings and to integrate professional knowledge. Professional issues, legal issues and ethical behavior related to the counseling profession will be addressed. Emphasis is placed on refining a personal theory of counseling useful in a wide range of counseling settings. Prerequisites: EDU505, 520, 521, 523, 535, and 25 hours of pre-practicum experiences.
