This course explores human growth and development across the life span from infancy to old age and in multicultural contexts. The course focuses on the physical, cognitive, social, personality and emotional development. Topics will include theories of individual and family development across the life span, the family life cycle, theories of learning and personality development, human behavior, community resilience, theories of addiction, and strategies for facilitating optimum development over the lifespan.
