Democracy requires participation. That is how we as a society set priorities and try to solve problems. That is why myriad organizations advocate for their causes and beliefs and employ professionals in the effort. This course explores the relationship between digital communication and democratic community. In the process, students will participate in community life using digital tools and social media. Special attention is paid to the critical concerns of the Sisters of Mercy.
