In this course, students study American literature with emphasis on developing and strengthening writing as needed by planning, revising, editing, and rewriting; using technology, including the Internet, to produce, publish, and update individual or shared writing products; drawing evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research; analyzing an author's choices concerning how to structure specific parts of a text; and determining two or more central ideas and analyzing their development over the course of the text. Pre-requisite: ACE 034.
