Complements theoretical content in NUR 540. Opportunities are provided for the Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist student to apply and validate theoretical concepts related to advanced practice nursing of clients and families in a variety of ambulatory and community settings. Implementation of the roles of the Advanced Practice Nurse in working with both well children and families managing frequently occurring health problems at home and in the community. Includes a preceptorship with a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. Prerequisite: NUR 540.
