Topics addressed include: pre-historic and Celtic Ireland; the impact of Christianity on Irish society; the Viking and Anglo-Norman influence; English conquest and dominance; political movements and resistance during the 18th and 19th centuries; the Famine and diaspora; independence and partition; and the sources of conflict and prospects for conciliation in Northern Ireland.
