The course is a study of marketing from a strategic management perspective. Emphasis is placed on strategic evaluation of internal (marketing mix) and external (competitive, economic, social) forces. Critical evaluation beyond an introductory level is necessary. Ethical issues related to marketing management are an integral part of this course. Contemporary issues in marketing and the practical application of marketing concepts to the student's research project are also features of this course. (6 weeks) Prerequisite: BUS 505
