This is an integrative biological study of structural and functional anatomy of the vertebrate classes. It utilizes an organ system approach to the study of comparative anatomy, considers unique adaptations of individual vertebrate groups and incorporates evolutionary relationships in conjunction with aspects of vertebrate behavior, ecology and paleontology. Lecture and reading assignments incorporate research data from current literature. 3 lecture hours per week. Offered in alternate fall semesters. Corequisite: BIO 302L. Prerequisites: BIO 203/203L, 204/204L or equivalent.
