Description:
This printmaking course will focus on the exploration and development of each student's unique ideas and sensibilities inspired by the printmaking medium. This course will introduce various Intaglio printmaking techniques, such as etching - line (hard ground soft ground) aquatint, chine colle'; and dry point, and will also embrace the integration of new technological methods. Assigned student projects, collaborations and experimentation along with scheduled critiques, group discussions and field trips will be important components to this course. Historical and contemporary artists will be introduced throughout the semester.
