This course is an introduction to several applications of mathematics to everyday life. It is designed to show students that mathematics is interesting and can explain everyday events by using basic topics from lower-level mathematics. Students are required to write about their experiences and the experiences of other that can easily be explained by mathematics.Prerequisite: ENGL 101 and 102 English Composition, "B" or betterCredit: three hours.
