This course is designed to provide graduate students an advanced understanding of the analytical chemistry and focuses on electroanalytical and spectroscopic techniques. The course covers different modern electroanalytical methods such as voltammetry and potentiometry. Topics that will be covered in spectroscopy include infrared (IR), Ultraviolet/Visible (UVNIS), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS). Additionally, the course will discuss applications of these instrumental techniques in environmental science, material science and pharmaceuticals.Prerequisites:Credit, three hours.
