This course will critically examine the history of twentieth and twenty-first century aesthetics and criticism. Designed to complement ART 651 and ART 652 (which are not prerequisites), it examines the essential texts of art theorists, critics, and historians to examine methods of critical thinking and writing about contemporary art.
