Proceeding from Maxwell’s equations, students investigate the wave aspects of electromagnetic fields including propagation, reflection, refraction, polarization, interference and diffraction. Other topics include radiating systems and wave guides. Normally offered in the spring semester of odd numbered years. Prerequisite: PHYS 371.
