This course will explore current concepts in the field of virology, with emphasis on the structure, genetic material, and replication strategies of various human and animal viruses. In addition, mechanisms of viral pathogenesis, viral diagnostics, prevention and treatment of viral infection will be presented. Prerequisites: BIOL F342 or BIOL F360.
