Explores legal issues arising in the delivery of health care services, including the physician-patient relationship and standards of care, individual and institutional liability, patient privacy and medical records security, insurance and Medicare, managed care and access to care, federal and state regulation of health care providers and regulatory compliance, accreditation and licensure, staff privileges, and medical ethics. Practice in Alaska and the development of professional skills are emphasized. Legal specialty course. Registration Restrictions: Completion of LEGL A356 is recommended.
