Specific focus on the development of mass media and popular culture, the economic dimensions of the "Roaring 20's", the onset and consequences of the Great Depression, the rise of labor and the New Deal coalition, World War II, and the early years of the Cold War. Prerequisite: WRTG S111, six credits of history, and upper division standing; or instructor permission.
