3 credits (3+0) An introduction to the theory and practice of ecocriticism. Readings will include the history and theory of environmental literature as well as research in the interdisciplinary fields of environmental philosophy and ecofeminism. Emphasis will be placed on exploring the interplay of human culture with nature in literary texts. Prerequisite: WRTG S211 or WRTG S212 (C 2.00 or better) or instructor permission.
