Description:
3 credits (3+0) Drawing upon literature, this course examines the fundamentals of text selection, analysis, and evaluation, bringing literature to life for the enjoyment of others. Through class discussions and performances, students will develop an intellectual and emotional responsiveness to poetry, prose, and drama and learn a variety of vocal and physical expressive skills for effective oral interpretation. Exposure to different venues and opportunities for public performance and forensic competition included. Prerequisite: C or better in WRTG S211 and one of: COMM S111, COMM S235, COMM S237, or COMM S241; or instructor permission.
