4 credits (3+3) Overview of the principles of ecology with emphasis on the organism, population, community, ecosystem and biome levels. Aspects of the physical environment are included in the organismal ecology discussions. Laboratory sessions mainly are field exercises in biological sampling and analyses. Prerequisite: BIOL S105; and either BIOL S106 or ENVS S102; and STAT S200 or concurrent enrollment.
