3 credits (3+0) Basic principles of photography, with emphasis on digital media. Introduces digital imaging technology, photo composition and lighting, using leading software to process images, and printing and electronic distribution. Emphasis is on the artistic value of digital imaging as a medium, as well as in relation to traditional photography and other forms of artistic expression. Students must have basic computer skills and access to a digital camera.
