Focus on the application of ecological principles to field research. Emphasis on the integration of ecology with climatology, geology and hydrology to understand the functioning of ecosystems at local and regional scales. One week of intensive lecture and library research followed by 10 days of field research in the major ecosystems of Alaska. Prerequisites: An undergraduate course in ecology, geology, hydrology or climatology. Offered Summer Even-numbered Years; As Demand Warrants
