Description:
Modern molecular biological techniques including protein and nucleic acid gel electrophoresis, western blotting, cell fractionation, cellular respiration, enzymology and fluorescence microscopy. Lectures will be supplemented with reading from the primary literature. Student projects in this course may satisfy the capstone project requirements of the biological science degree. Student must also enroll in BIOL F400 to receive capstone credit. Prerequisites: BIOL F360 or CHEM F360 may be taken concurrently. Cross-listed with CHEM F466. Offered Spring
