A broad overview of the biological diversity of fishes presented from the comparative and organismal perspectives. The course examines the relationship between physical and biological properties of aquatic environments and the anatomy, physiology, behavior and geographical distribution of living fish lineages. Topics include fish evolution, biogeography, classification, gross and fine anatomy, sensory biology, and form-function relationships.
