Survey of anthropological research on peoples and cultures of Siberia, including the Russian Far East. This includes sections on prehistory and colonial history of the region, as well as a major focus on contemporary lives and future prospects. While the emphasis is on the indigenous peoples of Siberia, settler populations will be discussed as well. Prerequisites: ANTH F100X. Offered Spring Even-numbered Years
