Developmentally appropriate care and nurturance of infants and toddlers, with an emphasis on the importance of building relationships as the foundation of curriculum. Course will include segments which will prepare students to create, facilitate, and evaluate infant/ toddler curriculum utilizing relationship-based practices, knowledge of child development, and routines. Includes activities to stimulate development and learning and support communication, guidance and health. Research-based techniques and cultural practices included. Weekly practice labs (14 hours) required. Prerequisites: ECE F104X; or permission of program head.
