This course explores the biological basis of animal behavior. Topics include mating systems, communication, habitat choice, feeding behavior, parental care, sperm competition, courtship and deception. The class will also examine the nature of science, including the process of posing and testing hypotheses. Special fees apply. May not be used as a biology elective for biological science majors.
