Description:
Survey of clinical psychology methods and approaches with consideration of psychological assessment and treatment. Topics include specific counseling strategies, such as psychoanalysis, behavior therapy, crisis intervention, rational-emotive and humanistic approaches, along with ethics in clinical practice and issues in cross-cultural counseling and psychological assessment and treatment. A clinical lab will allow students to apply their classroom learning and acquire hands-on experience in clinical skills. Prerequisites: Nine credit hours of PSY courses to include PSY F101X and PSY F345. Offered As Demand Warrants
