Utilizes algorithms and databases used in sequence alignment, sequence searching, metagenomics, phylogenetics, analysis of next-generation sequencing data, protein structures, and molecular pathways. Evaluates genomic approaches for understanding complex biological systems in model organisms and human disease. Special Note: Not available for credit to students who have completed BIOL A655.
