Emphasis is on understanding the use of methodology, experimental controls, data analysis and scientific communication in psychological and sociological research. Dual listed as PSYC 352. Prerequisite: MATH 175 and PSYC 201, 202 and 203. Course Objectives (1) Demonstrate the ability to distinguish between natural science and human science approaches to studying human beings. (2) Define and apply key concepts in phenomenological philosophy and psychology for the purpose of human science research. (3) Demonstrate their ability to use APA style in written reports. (4) Collect and analyze qualitative data following the ethical guidelines of the social science profession and as instructed by the professor.
