An investigation into one of the most central and influential philosophical concepts in our lives and cultures: freedom. What does it mean to be free? What is the nature of free will? Does free will even exist? What is the relationship between personal, metaphysical, and political conceptions of freedom? This course will include a survey of major thinkers and traditions on the subject of freedom. Core: AH.
