As Supply Chain Management continues to be one of the most critical business disciplines in the manufacturing and service sectors, the demand for qualified professionals and opportunities for career mobility are increasing. Synchronizing the flow of products, information, and funds is becoming increasingly complex with products that move across the world with deadlines that directly affect a companys profitability. Students will learn about global dynamics that impact a businesss ability to remain competitive when working with suppliers. In addition, the following topics will be covered: supply chain strategy and network design, purchasing and negotiations, inventory cost analysis, planning and control, performance measurement, information technology and decision support, transportation systems operation, and third-party logistics services providers.
