The Employment Skills Workshops are a series of workshops designed to prepare students for Internships. Through this series, the students will learn Interpersonal Communication and Emotional Intelligence; Writing for your Career; Resume and Cover Letter Preparation; Understanding Employment Paperwork; The Dos and Donts on the Job; Personal Finance Essentials; and Interview Preparation. The workshop series will culminate with an Interview Panel comprised of various industry and business professionals who will conduct mock interviews for the students. The series consists of seven workshops, however, four of the workshops are mandatory and three of them are optional. All students must participate in the mock interview to be completed at the end of the workshop series. Upon completion of the Employment Skills Workshops, the students are then eligible for an internship.
