Description:
Application of metal fabrication techniques. Topics include use of basic metal shaping hand tools such as mallets, slapper shot bags, finishing hammer dollies, and (T) dollies. Instruction on other metal shaping equipment includes English wheels, shrinking & stretching equipment, bead rollers, sheet metal brake, rotary shears, press brake, and basic operation of a power hammer. Correct selection of materials will be stressed and a final project reflecting use of many techniques is required.
