An in-depth look at the different classifications of Electrified Road Vehicles. 1. The three different types of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV)s, 2. Multi-Mode Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV)s, 3. Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV)s, and 4. Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV)s. Topics include the theory of operation of high voltage batteries, DC to AC inverters, DC to DC converters, electric motor types, plug-In charging systems, thermal management of the high voltage systems, battery, the passenger cabin, and braking/regenerative braking systems. In addition, preparation for the ASE L3 Light-Duty hybrid/electric vehicles exam is included.
