Studio class for art students and students interested in further painting experiences. Covers constructing a figure painting through various steps and a single technique, by painting values; applying dark, middle, and light colors. Students will be able to paint recognizable figurative images and continue study in the medium. Live draped and undraped models will be used. Prerequisite for ART 4230R. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Paint figures proportionately and accurately with use of value and color. 2. Understand how light can change the feel and visual elements in a figure. 3. Work through errors within a figure painting through focus and repetition. Course fee required. Prerequisite: ART 2210 (Grade C- or higher). FA
