Course designed for women interested in the fundamentals of weight training. Includes instruction designed to build and strengthen the body. In this activity class, students will receive supervised practice in various progressive resistance exercises. Students will learn the basics of weight training as well as improve their body strength. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Explain the benefit of resistance training for health-related fitness and athletic performance. 2. Explain safety precautions and best practices related to resistance training. 3.
