This course is an introduction to the study of literature in Spanish. Emphasis will be placed on reading and critical analysis of Hispanic texts in major genres (narrative/prose, poetry, theatre/drama). Students will learn literary terminology while practicing close reading of literary texts, critical analysis, and analytic writing.
